What began as a small market has grown into a tradition of quality, integrity, and service – one we’re proud to carry forward for generations to come.

Our Journey Through
Seafood Excellence

1950s-1961

The Beginning

Tony Lombardi Sr. started his seafood career as a deckhand on the Tampa shrimping fleet in the early 1950s. After learning the trade and working for a local wholesaler, he and his brothers opened their first wholesale and retail seafood market in Tampa. In 1961, with only a handful of pocket change, Tony Lombardi Sr. took a leap of faith to follow his dream. Together with his wife Angie, they moved to Winter Park to open a seafood business, laying the foundation for what would become a beloved Central Florida staple.

1961-2013

Building a Family Legacy

For over 50 years, Lombardi’s Seafood grew into a trusted name, serving retail and wholesale customers across the Orlando area. During his summer breaks in high school Tony Lombardi Jr. worked for the family business but did not dive in full time until he graduated college. Being the first-generation college graduate in the family, Tony Lombardi Jr. brought his deeper knowledge of business to help his dad grow the company and strengthen connections within the community. With a passion of business and a love for his family, Tony Lombardi Jr. ambitiously sought out innovational ways to successfully create longevity for Lombardi’s. In 2006, Tony Lombardi Jr., along with his wife, Terri, and daughter, Denise, took the reins to continue the family tradition. By 2013, Lombardi’s Seafood (at the time located at 1152 Harmon Avenue) was a local landmark.

2013-Today

Tradition Meets Innovation

In 2013, Tony and Terri’s son, Michael Lombardi, joined the team to help carry the family tradition into the next era. In 2015, Lombardi’s Seafood relocated to a new upscale market at 1888 W Fairbanks Avenue. Today, third-generation owners, Michael Lombardi and Denise Lombardi Smith, are at the helm - committed to providing the finest seafood while introducing a modern perspective and new customer experiences both online and in-store.

My family was in the commercial fishing business on the coast and did business with Lombardi's beginning 50 yrs ago...these guys are still my "go to" for seafood! They set me up great for an upcoming work trip to Alaska. My native friends have shared walrus, seal, and whale...I'm taking them frog legs, alligator, and tile fish!
